Victory Celebrations for Dan

Dan had been onto me in a recent comment wondering why he looked so glum in the photo I in the recent post about his Inter-Transfer victory:

Where did you get that god awful picture of me? I demand that be taken down and a much nicer picture of me put up…surely there’s one of me drunk from last years night at the dogs

So i went back to my photo’s from the night of the presentation, and at first I was reluctant to release this photo of him drunk later on that night, getting maybe a little too carried away with some of his ‘friends’, but he has asked for it himself. I guess the excitement of the day had gotten to him and he had to sit down in front of his friends. All the same, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves in what sure looks like a wild night out. I’m not sure how he was the following morning.

update: I’ve had to make a slight modification because Dan wasn’t too happy in the light he was being portrayed in … but who is ever happy with the pictures I manage to root out. So just to give you an idea of the wild night he was having after his victory, you can see the picture below.

AAAGGGGHHHHHHHH! Sorry, but i’ll have them up as soon as i get my jig together.hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday. All that then on top of no scores from last week. It’s a secretarial problem, she’s decided to get lazy on me!

I was asked to post this picture on the blog by my mum. It’s a long time ago … 1982 I think …. but, who are these good looking lads in the photo who had just received their First Holy Communion, and stood for pictures in the front garden of the Convent afterwards (which is now unfortunately a building site) ?

The two on the  right should be easy … but the third is a little more difficult, cos you can only see a shoulder … but it should be enough to make him out.

The picture is not cropped. What is shown is exactly how the print is. Knowing this, take a guess at who the photographer was.

The Last Hurrah

Last pre-wedding game of golf played in Macroom today. Good craic, a lovely day, few people on the course so no pressure. What more do you want? I was instructed to put some photo’s up, so here we go. Will the driving ever be the same again?
Concern was voiced that Der may never be let out for golf again … but Shay cocked up and said that coming from a sporting family like his, there was nothing to worry about! relief all around
